Ferrari 360 Spider cars - Ferrocars

The latest model of the Italian designers is Ferrari 360 Spider, which was presented in 2000 on the Geneva motor show. This true work of art has such an appearance, that Ferrari 360 Spider is more similar to a rocket than to a car. And it is true, a V8 engine with the volume of 3496 cub. cm, the power of 400 h.p., and the maximal speed of 300 kmph, able to speed up to 100 kmph during 4.6 sec, only reinforces this sensation.

The cabriolet Ferrari F430 Spider was shown to the public in 2005 in Geneva, and signified a birth of a new generation of Ferrari cars with 8-cylinder engines. This model is most similar to race cars of Formulas 1. On the steering wheel, Ferrari Spider has a switch installed to adjust the onboard systems, its functional task is to simplify the control of the car in certain road conditions (a similar device is used only in race cars). Also, in Ferrari Spider there is an electronic differential (E-Diff), located on the rear axis, the control which allows to optimize the operation of the engine depending on the road covering. The aerodynamics of Ferrari F430 Spider was studied and calculated during a long time. Here, each spoiler, every diffusor carries not only the aesthetic character. Each of them, after a study of a breadboard model of the car in a wind tunnel, is called to improve the high-speed performance of the car.
