Ferrari F50 cars - Ferrocars

Ferrari F50, was released for the 50th anniversary of Ferrari, it is a true product created by the legendary corporation. For the first time the creation of the sports car was made by engineers of road and racing cars. From its successor Ferrari F40, F50 differs by a more comfortable interior, a flexible engine and an adjustable road clearance. The engine of Ferrari F50 is a subject deserving separate consideration since it is a true racing motor for racing cars. At that it required the work of a whole team of engineers to add to it vital distance (in race cars the engine is designed for work on distances of 300 km, and in Ferrari F50 the distance was increased up to 100 thousand km). The technical specs impress: a V12 engine with the volume of 4700 cub. cm, the power of 520 h.p. and 8500 rpm, the maximal speed is 326 kmph, speeding up to 100 kmph for 3.9 seconds. The motor is made not of aluminum, as in racing cars, but of pig-iron, since in itself it does not have the role of a bearing construction. However, regardless of all the diligence, some competitors surpassed those of Ferrari F50 according to specifications (McLaren F1 and Bugatti EB110S). But the brand played its role: all the 349 released cars were sold out before their appearance (and this is with a 100% advance payment), the price made half a million dollars for every Ferrari F50. At that, around the legendary F50 a true veil of privacy and untouchableness was created, since in excess to the released 349 cars, no more "fifties" were produced on the conveyor (in difference from Ferrari F40, it is still unknown how many cars were actually produced till now), and each owner values it as a pupil of an eye.
